WHAT WE’LL DO

• This is a relaxed walk through beautiful scenery and fun facts around Ancient Rome. And we are doing this after sunset, when the crowds are gone and, in the Summer, temperatures are pleasant
• We’ll start by the Theatre of Marcello, that building that many people coming to Rome for the first time mistake for the Colosseum. But why is it so similar? You won’t believe it, but this ancient Roman theatre is linked to lots of conspiracies and a luxury condo!

• We’ll then walk towards the Capitoline hill where we’ll see where the ordinary people of Ancient Rome lived. Did they live in huts? Houses? Apartment buildings? Caves? We’ll find out right here!
• Right after we’ll walk one of the most beautiful staircases of Rome, which was designed by a very famous Renaissance artist, that surely you’ve heard of already. It starts with M, can you guess who he was?
• Along the way we’ll uncover many hidden gems that the crowds of tourists during the day miss here. And why is SPQR written everywhere? What does that mean?
• Without even realizing you’ll end up by the most breathtaking view over the Roman Forum, illuminated at night. Saying this view is magical is an understatement!

• We’ll get super close to some of the monuments of the Roman Forum and then we’ll walk on an original ancient Roman street. Here you’ll learn that the way we call our streets today in many languages (English included) comes from ancient Rome

• We’ll end this evening stroll in via dei Fori Imperiali, right by one of our favorite monuments: the first shopping mall ever built in the world, inaugurated in the 2nd century AD!
• After this tour you’ll have many talking points to show off your friends and colleagues at your next dinner!
