WHAT WE’LL DO

A stroll in the historic center of Rome is an experience, where you’ll learn what it felt like for an ancient Roman to walk in the shadow of a 20 meters’ high temple

You’ll find yourself in front of giant ancient ruins that casually impose themselves in the streets. These ruins appear out of modern buildings, reminding you how small our existence is compared to the 2700 years’ lifetime of the city you’re walking in
You would never expect to enter a 400 years old church and feel totally transported by its optical illusions. You’ll exit this church still unsure whether some things were real or not!
Where else are you able to walk through original 2000 years old bronze door, to find yourself below the biggest solid concrete dome in the world?You’ll learn about the secrets and mysteries of the Pantheon dome and the special light effects that still happen today after centuries.

And when we reach Piazza Navona, you’ll think this twirl of emotions is over and you’ve seen it all. But then you’ll suddenly walk around the corner and see an ancient roman stadium below your feet

At this point you’ll feel there has been a whole city below your feet and you’re only realizing now..

 Verified Excellent way to experience a different side of Rome
This tour took us through the neighborhoods of Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto. Our guide, Valera, showed us hidden gems such as a Bernini and a convent that houses the remains of a saint. She brought to life the history of the area and her stories inspired us and reminded us the importance of remembering history. We loved this tour so much we signed up for another tour from Live Virtual Guides to visit Rome at Sunset. What I loved about this particular walking tour is the expertise of the guide, the small group, and the well curated sights that we would not have visited on our own.

 Verified Rome has so much to offer that we normally don’t look for.
A fabulous experience. We learnt so much history in areas that we would have probably not visited. Walking around these places without a guide would mean you miss most of what happened here. Highly recommended.
