WHAT WE’LL DO

  • Let’s set on a journey through Rome’s “lasagna of history”, walking through the different layers of the various eras of the city.
We’ll start in Piazza del Campidoglio, to discover one of the most beautiful piazzas in Rome. This was, in fact, entirely designed by Michelangelo, who gave this place a reassuring and harmonic Renaissance look

    • Here we’ll see a real “milestone” (how many times you’ve used this word without knowing what it actually IS?), the statue of Marcus Aurelius (that survives still today thanks to a misunderstanding and today also decorates the Italian coins) and the iconic statue of the She-Wolf, the symbol of the legendary foundation of Rome

  • From the Capitoline hill we’ll enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views over the Roman Forum.. Here your jaw will drop, guaranteed

  • We’ll then take some steps down the hill, to descend to the ancient Roman street level. In fact we’ll access the archaeological site of the Roman Forum (we’ll take care of the tickets for you ;)) and walk on the actual stones where Caesar, Cicero, Nero, Augustus and the millions of ancient Roman citizens used to walk every day

  • We’ll learn about the ordinary life of this ancient “piazza”, as well as the dramatic and iconic events that took place right here. For example, we’ll see the exact location where the funeral of Julius Caesar took place
  • We’ll then walk into the most exciting entertainment venue of antiquity, the Colosseum. We’ll learn about the shows, the gladiator fights and the special effects of this incredible stadium

    THE COLOSSEUM ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK

We were Commisioned for our Storytelling

The Archaeological Park of the Colosseum chose us to create episodes for its video series A Night at the PArCo, including “The House of Livia,” with more episodes soon to be released.

And the storytelling they chose us for starts long before we tell the story. We spend our time leafing through old books, exploring the shadowy corners of ruined buildings, and staring into the faded pigments of ancient frescoes. That’s how deeply we love to dig to craft our stories.

Now we bring all of that to our tours, for you.

Combining storytelling and local expertise is our obsession!

That made us the biggest community on the hidden gems of Rome, with

…and we only go in truly small groups because we want you to feel like if you were walking next to a friend!

Rome from a real Roman Best tour company you will find in Rome. This is where you learn about history. Not through podcasts or polished isn’t videos. An educated local with a wealth of knowledge and passion about her city! Federica was such a valuable source of knowledge and you should definitely book her tours!

Excellent way to experience a different side of Rome This tour took us through the neighborhoods of Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto. Our guide, Valera, showed us hidden gems such as a Bernini and a convent that houses the remains of a saint. She brought to life the history of the area and her stories inspired us and reminded us the importance of remembering history. We loved this tour so much we signed up for another tour from Live Virtual Guides to visit Rome at Sunset. What I loved about this particular walking tour is the expertise of the guide, the small group, and the well curated sights that we would not have visited on our own.

Rome has so much to offer that we normally don’t look for. A fabulous experience. We learnt so much history in areas that we would have probably not visited. Walking around these places without a guide would mean you miss most of what happened here. Highly recommended.
