Further terms and conditions about services and content



The Owner may cancel an experience on the agreed date without observing a cancellation period if weather conditions, official measures, strikes or other external circumstances that are unforeseeable or can only be averted by disproportionate efforts on the part of the Owner and are beyond the Owner’s control (in particular events of force majeure) make it impossible or significantly impede or endanger the performance of the experience. In this case, the booking price paid for the canceled experience will be refunded.
The Owner may exclude you from an experience if you do not meet the requirements for participation required. Also, if you would endanger yourself or others through your participation, or if you disrupt the implementation of the experience in any other way. In these cases, the booking price paid for the experience will not be refunded. Please remember that some experiences include visits to holy areas and clothing must be appropriate for those visits. The Owner cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to improper dress.
The Owner may make immaterial changes to the program at any time if this appears necessary due to circumstances arising at short notice. Insignificant program changes also include a change of the starting/meeting point for the experience, provided that the new meeting point can be reached by the customer from the originally agreed meeting point on foot or by public transport within 15 minutes. A change of the start/meeting point is possible up to 24 hours before the start of the booked experience and will be communicated to you by email.
Users can use the contact information stated in this document to cancel an experience they booked.
The following cancellation conditions shall apply:
a) For cancellations more than 24 hours before the start of the experience: full refund of the booking price;
b) For cancellations 24 hours or less before the start of the experience or in case of no-show or in case the experience has commenced: no refund of the booking price.
Users can request availability of private online experiences for specific date, time and number of people. Upon confirmation of the related availability, Users shall pay within 2 business days to complete the booking, otherwise the requested availability will not be guaranteed.
Users can also request availability of private in person experiences for specific date, time and number of people. In the latter case, upon confirmation of the related availability, Users shall pay within 1 day to complete the booking, otherwise the requested availability will not be guaranteed. Users shall arrive 10 minutes before the starting time of the experience for check-in. If you do not turn up for (or are late for) your experience check-in time, you will be considered a no-show and you will not be entitled to a refund. The price of the experiences does not include insurance of any type.


Community membership

Users understands that the Live Virtual Guide community (hereinafter referred to as “Community”) membership offers educational and entertainment content, an online space called “The Piazza” where fellow members of the Community can connect and chat, online and in-person events (e.g. get-togethers), perks (e.g. discounts).
The Community is not to be considered a substitute for personalized business, medical, or legal advice. The Community is not designed to treat any mental, emotional, or other medical conditions. If you as the User believe you may be in need of personalized attention, whether for your business, health, or otherwise, please seek additional assistance outside the Community.
The Owner may offer promotions, bonuses, or other offers from time to time in connection with the Community membership, promoting one or more aspects of the Community membership, or offering new or current members additional offers in exchange for taking an action as decided by the Owner.
The Owner reserves the right to offer the Community membership for free or change the price of the Community membership in the future.
User acknowledges and agrees that the Owner is not responsible nor liable to User should User sustain any injuries, incur harm, or encounter any negative ramifications. User agrees that he/she is fully responsible for his/her health and well-being, including participation in the Community and any results therein.
User also understands he/she will have the opportunity to provide the Owner with additional personal information, viewable to all the Community members. All information is completely voluntary and optional to complete, and User does not gain or lose anything in the Community for choosing to complete or not complete the additional information. User understands this information will only be viewable to others inside the Community, and understands that should he/she elect to complete the information, he/she is doing so completely voluntarily, and that the Community and the Owner are not responsible for any negative results from such information dissemination.
The Owner cannot guarantee results from any of the content on The Community, and cannot make any representations or guarantees regarding individual results. User will hold the Owner harmless if he or she does not experience the desired results.
Users shall use common sense and be respectful of all the Community members. Here are guidelines for Users interactions in the Community:
– Stay on topic, avoid politics, make your contribution relevant to the original post;
– Be polite;
– Put some effort into your questions. A good question is specific and comes with plenty of context. The more effort you put into your question, the better the answers will be;
– No backlink or guest post spam;
– Don’t troll;
– Do not help people break laws;
– Do not post private information about others;
– Don’t post with marketing intent, don’t promote your business;
– If you share an experience you had during your Rome trip, please make your review fully focused on what will help others, don’t make it an outlet for you to complain or seek emotional support. Please, stick to the facts and strongly avoid any emotionally charged statements and broad generalizations. Your review and potential responses are helpful for our community so that they can make the best decision for themselves.
The Owner reserves the right to remove posted content in the Community and disciplines or bans any Community member for violating rules, guidelines, or spirit of the Community.


Content about events

The Owner may organize events (e.g. gatherings at physical locations) and may take pictures and produce content about it. Users acknowledge and accept that by taking part in these events they grant the Owner a non-exclusive, fully paid-up and royalty-free license to process content including images of themselves at the related event solely for the operation and maintenance of Live Virtual Guide as contractually required.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Users waive any moral rights in connection with content including images of themselves at an event organized by the Owner.


Gift cards

Gift cards (hereinafter referred to as “Gift Cards” for plural case or “Gift Card” for singular case) can be redeemed only for the experiences on livevirtualguide.com. Gift Cards are valid for one year from purchase date. They can be used more than once during this period until their balance runs out. Upon expiration a Gift Card can no longer be used and it will not be subject to any form of reimbursement for any remaining unused credits. A Gift Card cannot be combined with other promotional codes, gift cards, or used for adjustments on previous bookings. Each Gift Card has a unique code, and such code has to be inserted at the checkout page of the booking process, and it can only be used for new bookings (the Gift Card cannot be used for existing bookings). A Gift Card is non-refundable and it is not rechargeable. Also, it cannot be exchanged for cash and it cannot be credited to a card or a bank account. Gift Cards are virtual and they will be delivered via email to the recipient specified by the user during the purchase of the related Gift Card. Users can also add a customized message and decide a delivery date to send the Gift Card. In case a user cancels the booking of an experience that was purchased with a Gift Card, the value of such Gift Card will not be refunded and it will be issued a new Gift Card with equal amount and a duration of 3 months. The minimum amount of a Gift Card is €50. The User can email us at hello@livevirtualguide.com for custom Gift Cards amounts or any piece of information.
